Granwax Water-based Floor Finishes

The water-based floor finishes range has been specifically developed by Granwax to contain very low, or zero, VOCs and solvents.

From the eco-friendly Nature, which has no VOCs and is perfect for those sensitive projects, to the extremely durable 2-component Masterfinish, which is gentle on the environment yet suitable for floors subjected to extremely heavy traffic, Granwax has an environmentally-friendly finish for every floor.

Supreme Natural Base

Granwax Supreme Natural Base is formulated to act as a fast drying coloured base coat for new or refurbished wood flooring that has been sanded, prior to the application of the chosen Granwax water based floor finish. It is ideal for use on strip, block or mosaic wood flooring that has no previous history of residual wax.

Important:Granwax Supreme Natural Base cannot be used as a base coat on reclaimed timber floors with unknown history of previous applications or on floors potentially contaminated with traditional wax deposits. Granwax Supreme Natural Base cannot be used as a final floor finish, nor should it be used in conjunction with oil or solvent based finishes. Do not use Granwax Supreme Natural Base on floors that have been already stained or coloured.

Supreme Base (Pigmented)

Granwax Supreme Base (Pigmented) is formulated to act as a fast drying base coat for new or refurbished wood flooring that has been sanded, prior to the application of the chosen Granwax water based floor finish. It is ideal for use on strip, block or mosaic wood flooring that has no previous history of residual wax. Granwax Supreme Base (Pigmented) will enhance natural wood colour. Granwax Supreme Base (Pigmented) is also available in white, black and grey from stock. Other colours/shades are available upon request.

Important:Granwax Supreme Natural Base (Pigmented) should not be used as a base coat on reclaimed timber floors with unknown history of previous applications or on floors potentially contaminated with traditional wax deposits. Floors of this type should be fully sanded and initially treated with 1 coat of Granwax Barrier Seal. Granwax Supreme Base (Pigmented) cannot be used as a final floor finish, nor should it be used in conjunction with oil or solvent based finishes. Granwax Supreme Base (Pigmented) is also not recommended on existing floors that have been stained or coloured.

Masterfinish Safe Anti Slip

Granwax Masterfinish Safe Anti Slip is a fast curing 2-component water based polyurethane finish, designed as a top-coat for all interior wood floors, to help minimise the slip potential on floors which are particularly subjected to liquid ingress through foot traffic and spillages. The clear formulation will not significantly change the appearance or colour of the floor. Provides a Matt finish (approximately 7% sheen level).

Granwax Masterfinish Safe Anti Slip is ideal for use on wood strip, block, parquet and mosaic flooring in locations that are subjected to heavy wear and where maximum traction is of the utmost importance, such as public houses, bars and restaurants, public buildings and retail premises, stair treads, etc. Granwax Masterfinish Safe Anti Slip cannot be used on floors which are used for sporting activities.

Masterfinish Sport

Granwax Masterfinish Sport is a fast curing, two component water based polyurethane finish, especially developed for use on all wood sports floors subjected to heavy wear. Available in Gloss and Matt. Granwax Masterfinish Sport is specifically designed to achieve the correct levels of traction required on surfaces used for sporting activities, meeting British Standard requirements. The Matt version also meets British Standard for Specular Gloss and Specular Reflectance for lacquered surfaces. It also offers outstanding abrasion and chemical resistance and can be used on both new and refurbished floors. The fast drying and curing properties of Granwax Masterfinish Sport make it ideal for locations where minimum down-time is of prime importance.

Masterfinish Heavy Duty

Granwax Masterfinish Heavy Duty is a fast curing, two component water based polyurethane finish, offering outstanding abrasion and chemical resistance, making it ideal for use on heavily used commercial areas. Granwax Masterfinish Heavy Duty is ideal for use on wood block, strip and parquet flooring in all locations subject to heavy wear. The fast drying and curing properties of Granwax Masterfinish Heavy Duty make it ideal for locations where minimum 'down-time' is of prime importance.

SUPREME EXCEL

Granwax Supreme Excel is an extremely versatile one-component wood floor finish, designed for specifiers and professional contractors looking to achieve a blend of high performance, ease of use and first class appearance, whilst also taking into consideration the advantages to both contractors and end-users of fast drying times, low odours and other environmental factors, essential for today's new or refurbished wood floor market. Granwax Supreme Excel is ideal for light commercial, retail and domestic locations. It gives a natural looking finish but, if preferred, floor colour enhancement can be achieved by first applying a coat of Granwax Supreme Base or Granwax Binder Seal.

SUPREME EXCEL SPORT

Granwax Supreme Excel Sport is a fast curing, single pack water based polyurethane finish, especially developed for use on all wood sports floors subjected to heavy wear. Granwax Supreme Excel Sport is specifically designed to achieve the correct levels of traction required on surfaces used for sporting activities, meeting British Standard requirements. It can be used on both new and refurbished floors. The fast drying and curing properties of Granwax Supreme Excel Sport make it ideal for locations where minimum downtime is of prime importance. Granwax Supreme Excel Sport gives a natural looking finish but, if preferred, floor colour enhancement can be achieved by first applying a coat of Granwax Supreme Base.

SUPREME EXTRA

Granwax Supreme Extra is a one component water based hybrid polyurethane finish for use on hard and soft woods. Granwax Supreme Extra is particularly suitable for cork and pine due to its flexible structure. Designed for use on light commercial and domestic floors, providing a fast drying, superb durable finish, which enhances and give durability to all types of timbers.
